Soccer Fever in South Korea (Jan, 2002)
Master CNN 2007/11/03 15:00Well, spirits are high in South Korea as Saturday's World Cup draws approaches. Soccer fans, coaches and players are waiting to see who their squads go up against in first round play for the sport's biggest prize. Kites, representing the 32 qualifying countries, graced the skies over Busan on Friday. The official match ball has been unveiled. The so-called Fevernova design is a break with tradition. It's the first new World Cup logo since 1978. Ball maker Adidas says Fevernova symbolizes the passion and energy of the two host countries, South Korea and Japan. Play begins on May 31st.
