U.S. Agency Bans Cellphone Use on Planes (Jun, 2007)
Master CNN 2007/10/11 14:18U.S. government agency says it will not allow mobile phones to be used on board aircraft in flight. Federal Communications Commission says you cannot phone home while in the air for technical reasons. But for many passengers, FCC’s reason for keeping the ban in place doesn’t matter. They say the idea of being trapped in an enclosed space for hours, forced to listen to other people’s phone conversations is rea-son enough not to allow cellphone use.
