Afghans Agree on Interim Govt. (Jan, 2002)
Master CNN 2007/11/03 15:03Now back to that interim administration that's set to replace the Taliban rule in Afghanistan. Four Afghan factions have signed a landmark agreement at talks just outside Bonn, Germany. Ethnic Pashtun leader, Hamid Karzai, is to head that 29-member administration which is scheduled to take office on December 22nd. The UN-brokered deal calls for the deployment of international peacekeepers and for the inclusion of women in the government.
